THE END

Finally the second phase of teaching came to an end. The school authority gave us a formal farewell and also gave some time to share our experiences. The total experience was really challenging and in my opinion i had a proper training there. 

The experience was quite different from the first phase.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

 I conducted diagnostic test for the class based on the weak areas identified from achievement test for 27% of students. Test was objective type. Here I could able found out their weaker areas more.....

INNOVATIVE MODEL

 Demonstrating Pythagorus theorem's area relationship using cardboards and green peas.

Pythagorus theorem expresses that for a right angled triangle, the square of hypotenuse (c) is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides (a and b) : a^2 + b^2 = c^2

Summarize the activity and reiterate the importance of the Pythagorean theorem. Emphasize how visual and hands on learning  in understanding mathematical concepts. Encourage students to reflect on how the activity helped them grasp the theorems area relationship.

ARTS & LITERARY INAUGURATION

 "Arts & Literary Inauguration

On 27th July 2024 the Inauguration of Arts & Literary club. The chief guests of the programme was Dr. Sharmila Mary Joseph IAS, Cine Artist Smt. Indulekha & Sri. Sriram Arun, Indias fastest magician. It was a great talk by Dr. Sharmila Ma'am about how to become successful in life. Sri. Sriram Arun made some Magic shows infront of the students.

               In the afternoon, we had the programmes of students & they performed group songs, solo performances, dance, mime, monoact etc. Students exhibited their talents infront the audience.

 As part of the Arts day inauguration celebration, all of them have practice sessions from 10 am to 12.30 pm. We the teacher trainees helped them for the smooth conduction of dance & song performance.

                          

EXAM FEVER

 

Exam days... They had exams from 22 July to 25th July. The students of St Johns Model HSS were having their mid term examination. We had exam duties in all these days. It was really a very unique experience for us. The transition from just writing exams to being in the exam hall as invigilator was really different. The headmaster gave us instructions to be followed in an exam hall. 

IVANIA QUIZ

 An interschool IVANIA QUIZ COMPETITION was conducted at St. Johns Model HSS, Nalanchira. 16 schools participated in the programme. The competition was held in 3 levels - Easy, Intermediate and Hard. We are the invigilators, who took the initiative for checking the answers. Im the main in scoreboard section

OBSERVATION DAY 2

 

Today I had my second optional Observation.I began the class with a thought " Laziness won't get you anywhere". An activity card was given to students to check their previous knowledge. Then I introduced some real life examples of constancy in algebraic method. The class was ICT oriented. Main examples were discussed in the classroom.

      She noted my strengths and room for improvement in my observation book. She suggested me to control mass answering and also said my class is powerful and smart class. Deepthi Ma'am suggested me to improve my gestures. Im confident and tension free and ensured participation of students.

ACHIEVEMENT TEST

 Today I conducted ACHIEVEMENT TEST for them. Two chapters - 'Equal Triangles and Equations' were included for the test. The test was for 25 marks containing 3 sections. Section A : five 1 mark questions, section B : five 3 mark questions. The test ended in 45 minutes.

AWARENESS CLASS ON DRUG ABUSE

 Every Friday in our school, we had the first hour - Moral Science Class. Today we assigned to took an awareness class for each trainees in their own concern classes. So the first hour, we three.. I, Leanda and Sr. Ranit went to 8A and took the awareness class. 

WORLD ANTI DRUG DAY

 Today was the "WORLD ANTI DRUG DAY - JUNE 26". So we the trainee students conduct the awareness section. Sandra led the section and we convey the messages through games and activities. 

OBSERVATION DAY 1

 " Failures are the stepping stone to success "

Deepthi maam came for class observation at 5th hour. In the beginning I checked the previous knowledge of the students by giving them the activity cards. The class was ICT oriented. The class mainly dealt with solving problems based on ONE SIDE AND TWO ANGLE THEOREM.

I also taught them two new concepts : 

                     " ALTERNATE ANGLES" and"CORRESPONDING ANGLES "

I showed them some videos to clear the concept. I do something creative to make the class more attentive that I chose a star from the class and star of bench among all the benches.

She noted my strengths and room for improvement in my observation book. Deepthi Ma'am suggested me to write all the explanations in lesson plan in detail. She also suggested to use mathematical instruments while taking the class in classroom.

WORLD MUSIC DAY

 Today we conducted the "WORLD MUSIC DAY" as it is celebrating on June 21st. Radhika took the main role of conduction. We selected two teams containing two members from each class. It was conducted in three rounds. It provides a lot of fun and atlast we sang together and announce the winner. 

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

 Today June 21 observed as INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY. So we the BEd trainees conducted the Yoga Day for the SPC and NCC cadets in the school auditorium at 10.30 am. 

                                      We taught them about the importance of Yoga in day to day life and some of the Yoga Asanas and make them do along with us. Last we collected the feedbacks from the students. That was quite a nice experience. 

ORIENTATION FOR SPC CADETS

 

We the teacher trainess took an Orientation section for SPC Cadets of 9th standard. We handle the section smoothly. We showed the video of Nick and told them about Nick and ask to inspire something from their life. 

                         We also told about Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Sir, former President and about him we had to copy from their life and we collected feedback from the students.

NATIONAL READING DAY

 June 19- the whole world celebrated today as the "National Reading Day". I helped the students to place the chart on the wall related to reading day. Then we had a talk led by SAJITH MS the writer and fame in television. That was quite interesting and had a photo session with HM and principal sir. 

After the lunch break, we the BEd trainees conducted a QUIZ COMPETITION on reading day. We proposed it for the students in 8th std and 9th std and 4 of them in each class participated in quiz competition. 

We conducted it as in 3 rounds, Krishnakumar led the session very neatly and the first place goes to Sidharth and Nikhil from my class 8A.
