We are blessed to be a part of the Christmas Day celebration. The whole day was filled with joy and happiness. We had the opportunity to saw the visual treat by the students. The day was remarkable and unforgettable for me as a teacher trainee.

YOGA TEACHER

 Yoga Teacher

As a teacher trainee, we have to teach students yoga. Today Jiji sir came to school to observe our yoga sessions. I got some students to teach yoga, so first I gave them an introduction to yoga and it's importance. After the introduction, I gave them the instructions to do warm up and I showed them the asana - pranayama. I asked them to repeat after me for 7 times. Then I made them do some minor games too.

As a teacher trainee, we are supposed to conduct a test called achievement test to students. I conducted a test for 25 marks. The test included the chapters which was taught by me. The questions were displayed on the screen and I gave them 45 minutes to complete it. They all done well in the exam. The next day itself I gave them the corrected answer sheets.

INNOVATIVE MODEL

 

The innovative work shown was the pythagorus theorem that I prepared for them using protractors model and like a scale as the perpendicular side and the hypotenuse side made using a thread which was controlled by a tongue cleaner modified to wind the thread.

ZUMBA TRAINING

As part of the International Seminar Paper presentation, I found that the students face stress and anxiety during their examination time both external and internal pressures. So I decided to conduct Zumba training for stress relief in them.

It was a survey method in google form conducted before and after zumba training to check the level stress in them. We conducted for 15 minutes 2 zumba classes for 3 weeks. Later, we analyzed that stress among them declined after the zumba session.

 FIELD STUDY

As part of our BEd curriculum, we a team of 4 conducted a field study on the topic Natural Disasters. We selected the class of 7th for the session. We first asked them some questions to analyse their prior knowledge and then gave a class on the topic. We divided the topic equally and prepared ppt also.

 RAREST ASSEMBLY 

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON 😌😂

It was a special day for the whole St. Mary's team because today was the day of assembly which usually happens once in a year. We the trainees got a great opportunity to be a part of it. Actually it was totally a chaos because of the arrangement of students from all the classes. Anyway the assembly was a different experience for me as a teacher trainee.

 STREET PLAY HELD AT SCHOOL BY TEACHERS

Today something interesting happened in the school. Some kind of resistance movement was happening from Kasargod to Trivandrum. The ending was happened here in St. Mary's school. So as part of the valedictory function, teachers from different school did a street play portraying the dilemmas faced by teachers from different perspectives. It was a very relevant and heart touching play.

As part of our BEd curriculum, we have to do a conscientization programme to students. We a team of two decided to take the awareness program on the topic " Stress Management ".We prepared ppt and divided the portions equally for presentation. We took the session in 8th std.

The last day of observation. Deepthi ma'am visited the class to monitor the session. She observed it carefully and gave me the feedback. She gave me so many positive feedbacks and i was so happy to read that. But still I believe there will be things to be improved from my part. After all the observation teacher took group pictures with us. 

 Unexpected visit by Maya ma'am

Maya ma'am visited my class without any notice. I was taking a model on Ratio. It was a good experience and i had many resources or materials as aids so i was not worried about the observation. Anyway I got good feedbacks from teacher.

 BACK TO SCHOOL AFTER OUR EXAMS 🥲

After our second semester exams we got back to the school for continuing the teaching practice. The day was exactly nov 1 which celebrates the birthday of Kerala. In St. Mary's there was a celebration regarding the special day. We took pictures and also had to handle class as usual.

 TEACHING PRACTICE DAY - 1

First day of teaching practice @ St. Mary's school was really an amazing experience. The day as a teacher made me realize how blessed it was to become a teacher. I got the 8th std to teach and the whole students were really cooperative. Not only teaching the noon meal duty was also waiting for us. It was yet another different experience for us.

The MTTC organised the "Rangoli competition" as a part of the G20 celebrations, with help of our Deepthi Ma'am.Two people from each optional actively participated in this competition , incoperating this topic onto our rangoli. Beautiful patterns were all over the place, their hues brimming with life and optimism.

The English department is overenjoyed, which was led by Navya & Lakshmi won the top honour. So joyfully joyful .... !!!

The second prize went to the department Social Science , while the third medal went to the department of Natural Science. Dr.Raghu sir & Rakesh sir from the MEd department judged the competition

RAPID OFFSHOOT

 

Like a beautifully articulated poem, we were brought amidst the rhythm of nature by letting us sit and integrate within nature. Joju sir, known for his innovative strategy and magic motivation tried yet another way to activate and boost our learning.

Unusually, we were asked to sit inside the gate beside the portico. First we thought we would feel discomfort and wont be a good idea and we hesitated a little bit. But when we actually got into it, we came to know the essence of this strategy. Well, thanks feel so small for this day...

Living a balanced, healthy life is possible with effective stress management. Stress is an natural, spontaneous reaction to difficult events on a physical, mental & emotional level.Everyone experiences it on a regular basis .

The capacity building programme was put together by MTTC under the direction of Dr. Ancy ma'am as a component of the BEd curriculum. We had the wonderful chance to interact with Jobi Kondoor sir, a very outstanding person, who offered us some insight into how stressed we were and physically took away all of the inner stress that was tearing us apart .... !!!!

On June 12 2023 at our optional sessions, a demonstration class was held as a part of the BEd programme. For the demo lessons, group of students from St.Johns school , Nalanchira were brought in from the institution.In terms of the Mathematics association Arya, Anju & Naveena three seniors attended three portions on mathematics topics.

We learned how to begin, engage & end a class through their class. We attended the classes with the pupil, taking notes when appropriate. We could definitely use the usefulness of these classes in our subsequent classes. It certainly gave my life the jolt I needed

Drug use has became a major issue on a global scale in the current social environment. They have an impact on not just the individual but also on society and the entire globe. Each day, more and more people fall victim to drug usage, which has a negative impact on people.

Everyone needs to speakup inorder to increase awareness about drug usage.

A drug abuse awareness discussion was held by population education club of Mar Theophilus College in collaboration with IQAC inorder to teach us the importance of living a drug-free life and to advance a drug free society.A retired professor from Gov.Womens college named George sir gave us an educational speech on the topic.

We came to know the intensity with which this evil force has spread in our society. Sir gave us a brief account of the causes and consequence of drug use among individuals mainly in children. As social engineers, its our coveted duty to enhance and promote a drug free world.

SATRANGI - Organized by 66th college union Adivithya. Shri. Murukan Kattakkada inaugurated the function. I'm the vice captain of the team Saphire and I do my level best to achieve the success & so we bagged lot of prizes in many items.
